During the ongoing 14^th session of the Da Nang People’s Council in its 8^th tenure for the 2011 - 2016 term, the members approved the municipal authority's recommendation to relieve Mr Huynh Nghia of his post as Vice Chairman of the city’s People’s Council.  The intention is to allow Mr Nghia to fully focus on his duties as Head of the city’s National Assembly members’ group.

The former Chief of the municipal Party Committee Secretariat, Mr Nguyen Nho Trung, was appointed to replace Mr Nghia as the new Vice Chairman of the city’s People’s Council for the 2011 - 2016 term.

The former member of the Permanent Board of the People’s Council, Mr Ngo Xuan Thang, was promoted to the post of permanent Deputy Head of the Organising Board of the city’s Party Committee.  

The former Deputy Head of the Economics and Budged Board of the People’s Council, Mrs Phan Thi Thuy Linh, was appointed to replace Mr Thang as a member of the Permanent Board of the People’s Council.

The former member of the People’s Committee and former Director of the Department of Police, Mr Nguyen Van Son, was promoted to be the Deputy General Director of the General Political Department of the People’s Police.

Another former member, Mr Vo Van Thuong, the former Chief of the People’s Committee Secretariat, was appointed as the Secretary of the Hai Chau District Party Committee.

The current Director of the municipal Department of Police, Mr Le Van Tam, and the incumbent Chief of the People’s Committee Secretariat, Mr Tran Dinh Quynh, were both elected to replace Mr Tam and Mr Thuong as members of the People’s Committee for the 2011 - 2016 term.
