On Monday, the Politburo member and permanent member of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee’s Secretariat, Mr Le Hong Anh, chaired a meeting at the Party Central Committee’s Office in Ha Noi to discuss preparations for the 21^st Da Nang Party Congress for the 2015 - 2020 tenure.  The Congress is scheduled to take place in the city in mid-October this year.

Municipal Party Committee Secretary Tran Tho reviewed the performance of the municipal Party Committee’s Executive Board over the 2010 - 2015 tenure, and presented the draft agenda and personnel plans for the upcoming congress.

Mr Anh remarked that Da Nang’s development has been lifted to a new high over the past 5 years, and the city’s significant achievements have received high praise from both domestic and foreign localities.

The Party official stressed the need for the city to make predictions about the situations at home and abroad, deploy more development projects in order to earn the status as a pioneer in accelerating the development of the central region, and set a good example for other regional localities to follow.

Finally, he urged the city to fully tap its great potentials and strengths in order to make even more socio-economic breakthroughs during the 2015 - 2020 tenure.
