City leader hosts Singaporean Vice Ambassador to Viet Nam

The Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, recently played host to the Singaporean Vice Ambassador to Viet Nam, Mr Yuen Sin Hong.

The Singaporean diplomat took the opportunity to thank the local authorities for facilitating businesses from his country seeking investment opportunities in the city. 

He pledged that he would do his utmost to boost the bilateral relationship, and share his country's experience of urban planning and development work with Da Nang.  He remarked that Singapore would continue offering training courses to develop high-quality human resources for the city, and implementing various cooperation programmes with the city.

In reply, Vice Chairman Tuan briefed his guest on the city's great advantages and potential, as well as its future development orientations which focus on promoting the development of services and trade towards sustainable green growth.

The host reported that there are now 19 Singapore-funded projects in the city and they are bringing mutual benefits.  He also vowed that local government would create even more favourable conditions for Singaporean businesses to invest in the city.  He asked Vice Ambassador Hong to continue his efforts to further strengthen their bilateral cooperation in such aspects as education, health, trade and tourism.
