The Glorious Vietnam 2015 Programme honouring national sprit and patriotism was held at the Ha Noi Opera House on August 16 in the presence of State President Truong Tan Sang.

Including the themes of patriotism, national spirit, pride in Viet Nam’s fine cultural values, Glorious Viet Nam 2015 is among significant activities marking the 70^th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2), the traditional day of the Viet Nam People’s Public Security force and 10 years of the ‘All people protect national security’ movement.

This year’s programme honoured ten outstanding collectives and individuals from sea, island and border areas who have made outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement and in building and protecting the country.

The programme also honoured 108 organisations and individuals that gained significant achievements in patriotic emulation movements for national construction and defence.

At the event, 70 National Emblem and statues of national hero Saint Giong were awarded to localities at the Fatherland outpost.
