During his ongoing trip to some African localities, the Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Dang Viet Dung, recently met with Mr Gika Manuel da Conceição Morais, the Deputy Governor for the Economic Sector of Benguela Province in Angola.  They signed a protocol which opens up bilateral cooperation opportunities between Da Nang and this province.

Benguela Province is the first African locality with which Da Nang has established a bilateral relationship and cooperation.

The meeting in progress

Under the protocol, bilateral cooperation in such aspects as investment, trade, tourism, culture and education will be established based on mutual respect, equality and mutual benefits.  In addition, the two sides will maintain contact which will lead to the signing in the near future of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on establishing the bilateral relationship and cooperation.
