Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, on the margin of the 50-year celebration of Singapore’s Independence Day, in Singapore on August 9.

The two sides agreed that the strategic partnership between Viet Nam and the UK is developing positively and comprehensively in various fields, especially economics, trade, investment, education and training.

Prince Andrew said he has a special sentiment to Viet Nam and its people. He hailed the country’s rapid and dynamic development as well as education cooperation with the UK.

He said he hopes the UK University project in Da Nang will be pushed ahead in the coming time, adding that he is willing to support Vietnamese businesses to connect with the globe via electronics and informatics systems.

He revealed to visit Viet Nam later this year.
