The Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr Phung Tan Viet, recently played host to a group of high-ranking officials from the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) Central Committee, led by its Vice Chairman, Mr Vongchan Phomsavat.

Vice Chairman Viet proudly said that Da Nang is the economic, cultural, scientific and technological hub of the central region.  He remarked that his city has shifted its economic structure more towards services and industry in order to achieve its sustainable development goals.

Mr Vongchan Phomsavat thanked the local leader for his warm welcome, and expressed his high regard for the city’s remarkable socio-economic achievements over recent years.

Also at the meeting, the two sides agreed to work together to strengthen the traditional friendship between Da Nang and Lao localities in the future.
