Party chief's Japan visit to deepen bilateral partnership
The visit to Japan by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong from September 15-19 will aim to deepen the two countries’ exclusive strategic partnership, established in March 2014, and bring it to a new level, said Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Quoc Cuong.

During the visit, the Party leader and other senior officials will have meetings with Emperor Akihito, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, leaders of major parties and representatives of big economic groups to discuss measures to intensify political trust and foster multi-faceted ties.
Japanese top leaders all appreciated Viet Nam’s improving position and role in the region and the world, and wished to intensify practical and effective relations with Viet Nam, Cuong said. Therefore, both sides attach importance to this visit and intend to exert every effort to make it a success for the interests of the two peoples and for peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
