Promoting bilateral relations with Germany
To mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Germany (1975 - 2015), a cultural exchange and cooperation programme took place in Da Nang on Sunday.
Joinly organised by the local Union of Friendship Organisations and the city’s Branch of the Viet Nam-Germany Friendship Association, the event aimed to foster bilateral solidarity, friendship and cooperation, as well as to increase mutual understanding between people in Da Nang and Germany.
Da Nang now has about 500 people who used to study, work and live in Germany, and they are quite knowledgeable about the land, people and culture of that country.
Over recent years, the city has seen positive results from the bilateral cooperation in culture, education and training with German localities and their agencies and organisations.
A pilot German teaching project is being implemented at the Tran Quy Cap and Nguyen Thien Thuat junior high schools with the assistance of teachers from Germany.
