21st Congress of the Da Nang Party Committee opens
The 21st Congress of the Da Nang Party Committee (PC) for the 2015 - 2020 tenure opened today at the city’s School of Politics, 34 Ho Nghinh street, and it will continue until 17 October.
Today's opening day featured such highlights as reports by the municipal PC and discussions about reports on the performance review of the PC’s Executive Committee for the 2010 - 2015 tenure.

Yesterday morning, a preparatory meeting for the 21st Congress was held at the same venue, with the participation of 350 official delegates.
The focus was on electing a Presidium Board of 11 members, a Secretarial Board of 3 members, and a Board for the Verification of Delegates’ Conduct consisting of 5 members.
On behalf of the Presidium Board, the Deputy Secretary of the city’s PC, Mr Vo Cong Tri, passed the Congress’s agenda and its working regulations. Meanwhile, the Head of the Organising Board of the municipal PC, Mr Tran Dinh Hong, adopted election regulations on Party Organisation and divided the participating delegates into 9 main discussion groups.
The Municipal PC Secretary, Mr Tran Tho, highly praised local relevant agencies for their great efforts in making good preparations for the Congress. The city leader also urged participating delegates to become actively involved in discussing issues raised at the Congress, and in giving their opinions and suggestions for the city’s progress. Also, he asked that all the discussions should focus on the main issues and be delivered in a brief and succinct way.
