Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc recently received a visiting Lao delegation led by Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Somsavad Lengsavad in Ha Noi.

At the separate meetings, the Vietnamese leaders congratulated Laos on its great recent achievements and expressed their pleasure with the special relationship between the two nations in all realms.

They affirmed that Viet Nam will join Laos’ efforts to preserve and foster the two countries’ special solidarity in a deep, practical and effective manner, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world at large.

For his part, the Lao Deputy PM expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, the Vietnamese people would continue to reap successes in their reform process and at Viet Nam’s 12^th National Party Congress scheduled for early 2016.

He asserted that Laos will work together with Viet Nam to further develop their traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation.
