The 15^th ASEAN Telecommunications and Information Technology (IT) Ministers' Meeting (ASEAN TELMIN 15) is taking place in Da Nang from 23 - 27 November.

The large-scale international event aims to promote the development of the information and telecommunications sectors in the ASEAN member nations, boosting their international economic integration and increasing their competitiveness in IT.

By hosting the event, Da Nang is proving its emergence as an attractive destination for international events, and this is helping the city's aim of becoming a city of international events in the future.

Within the framework of the event, the 2015 ASEAN ICT Awards will also be held in the city.  Most notably, Da Nang will be honoured with a first prize for its ‘Da Nang E-Government Platform’ in the State Award category. 

Over recent years, Da Nang has won such prestigious international awards as the eAsia Award 2013 and the WeGO Award 2014 for outstanding projects developing e-government.  In addition, the city has secured top position in the index for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) applications and development readiness in each of the past 7 years.

Thanks to its remarkable achievement, Da Nang’s e-government model is being expanded into localities nationwide following recent instructions from the Prime Minister.
