Promoting bilateral cooperation with Czech Republic
On Wednesday, newly-elected municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Xuan Anh played host to a delegation from the Senate of the Czech Republic, led by its President Mr Milan Stech.
Secretary Anh applauded the visit of his Czech guests which will help to open up more bilateral cooperative opportunities with their country, and strengthen the Viet Nam-Czech Republic diplomatic relations which have existed for over 65 years.

The city leader proudly said that Da Nang has been making every effort to fully tap its great potential and strengths in order to create new breakthroughs in socio-economic development. He remarked that the focus has been on developing the city’s tourism and trade, along with its IT and hi-tech industries, whilst ensuring the development of modern social infrastructure.
The host took the opportunity to ask President Stech to act as a bridge in boosting bilateral cooperation with the city in education, tourism, trade and urban management as well as promoting mutual investment in projects which the two sides show a keen interest in.
President Stech said that his country and Viet Nam share many similarities in various aspects. He also highly praised the Vietnamese communities in Czech localities for their active involvement in local progress.
In addition, the President said that during his delegation’s stay in Da Nang they will learn about the city’s tourism sector, and he promised to introduce its image to Czech citizens.
Also at the event, the two sides agreed to continue boosting bilateral cooperation in those aspects in which they have great potential and strengths, and to expand Viet Nam-Czech Republic diplomatic relations.
