Fostering bilateral cooperative ties with Fangchenggang City

On Tuesday, during his reception for the Party Committee Secretary of Fangchenggang City in China’s Guangxi Province, Mr Jin Xiangjun, the Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Phung Tan Viet, emphasised the need for the two cities to boost their cooperation in those aspects in which they have great potential and strengths.

Vice Chairman Viet said that his city and Fangchenggang share many similarities as they both focus on promoting the development of tourism, seaport and trade sectors.  The city leader took the opportunity to ask the Fangchenggang’s government to appeal for more businesses from Fangchenggang City to invest in Da Nang, and facilitate those from his city to export their products to Chinese market.  Included were seafood, handicrafts, footwear, clothes, and raw rubber.

The host pledged that the local authorities would create very favourable conditions for foreign investors, including those from Fangchenggang City, to invest and operate effectively in the city on the basis of mutual benefit in accordance with Vietnamese law.

Secretary Jin Xiangjun thanked the city leader for his warm welcome, and said that his city is willing to foster bilateral cooperation with Da Nang in tourism, seaport, trade and investment attraction.
