National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and visiting Vice President Koshiishi Azuma of Japan's House of Councillors have shared their contentment toward the growing Viet Nam-Japan relationship since it was elevated to extensive strategic partnership.

In 2015, the two countries exchanged senior official delegations, including Japan visits made by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, and NA Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, as well as a recent Viet Nam visit of President of Japan's House of Councillors Yamazaki Masaaki, the host and guest said at their talks in Ha Noi on December 14.

The talks brought up the subject of strengthening affiliations between the two nations and parliaments.

As such, major cooperation fields included building the legal system, infrastructure, human resources training, and mine clearance.

Boosting exchanges of legislative delegations and liaison among friendship associations and youth was also focus of Viet Nam-Japan engagements moving forwards.

Vice President of the House of Councillors Koshiishi Azuma is on a working visit to Viet Nam from December 14-16.
