Visit by delegation from Lao Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs
On Tuesday, the Head of the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs' Bureau of National Devotees, Mr Hoang Cong Thai, and some leaders from Da Nang’s Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, officially received a delegation from their Lao counterpart organisation.
Mr Thai briefed his guests on Viet Nam’s preferential support policies for those who have given great service to the national revolution. These policies include healthcare insurance, medical services, land use fee exemption or reductions, and education.
The host also said that there are a total of over 3,000 martyr cemeteries in Viet Nam. 61% of the martyr graves have already been identified, 13% are partly identified, whilst the remainder are still unknown. He added that the remains of more than 200,000 Vietnamese war heroes have yet to be found, including 2,000 volunteer soldiers killed in Laos.
