Last Friday at the Furama Resort Danang, the municipal People’s Committee (PC) held their annual Tet get-together for ex-pats who are living and working in the city. 

PC Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh outlined for the invitees Da Nang’s socio-economic achievements over the past year.  Most notably, he reported, the authorities had granted investment licences for 79 new FDI projects worth 92.34 million USD in total and some ODA projects, totalling 405 million USD, have been effectively implemented.  In addition, the city has sought over 190 billion VND in aid from more than 90 projects and programmes run by foreign non-governmental organisations.

At the event, 22 foreign organisations and 20 individual ex-pats were awarded Certificates of Merit from the PC in recognition of their great efforts for the city’s growth.
