UNS to help train human resources for 'smart city'
On Friday, the Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Phung Tan Viet, played host to a group from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis (UNS) in France, led by its president, Ms Frédérique Vidal.
Vice Chairman Viet said, “Da Nang is focusing on developing a synchronous infrastructure system to attract even more FDI, and promoting the development of such hi-quality services as tourism, trade, and logistics. In addition, importance is being attached to creating three breakthroughs to promote the city’s socio-economic growth, including developing hi-quality human resources”.
The city leader took the opportunity to ask UNS to help the city train its human resources in order to build Da Nang into a smart city in the future.

Ms Frédérique Vidal said, “UNS played a vital role in helping Nice City to be listed among the top 5 ‘Global Smart Cities’ in 2015. I hope the ‘Engineers for a Smart City’ project will soon be implemented in Da Nang in order to help the city train its specialised engineers and staff members.”
Ms Vidal added, “In the near future, UNS will coordinate with the University of Da Nang to train local human resources and organise short-term training courses for government employees. Importance will also be attached to conducting a feasibility study for developing start-up business incubators at the Da Nang Hi-tech Park”.
