The 3^rd session of the Da Nang People’s Council (PCl) in its 9^th tenure of the 2016 - 2021 term will be held from 7 - 9 December.

During the session, discussions will focus on some of the key issues selected by the PCl’s Permanent Board.  These are effective ways to promote the development of the local industrial and tourism sectors, ease traffic congestion, reduce tax arrears and tax losses, enhance the State management capacity of mineral exploitation, ensure food safety and hygiene, accelerate administrative reforms, and fight against drug-related crimes.

The agenda was revealed by municipal PCl Vice Chairman Nguyen Nho Trung at his meeting on Monday with representatives from groups of district level PCl members.

Vice Chairman Trung suggested that at the forthcoming session PCl members should focus on discussing pressing matters raised by local voters, or the Board’s conclusions which have not yet been implemented.  Importance should also be attached to identify the causes and responsibilities of related individuals and organisations.
