On Tuesday, the Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman, Mr Huynh Duc Tho, chaired a meeting to adopt proposals and projects which will be presented at the forthcoming 3^rd session of the municipal People’s Council (PCl) in its 9^th tenure of the 2016 - 2021 term.

Chairman Tho proposed raising the monthly allowance of employees at grass-roots level who are responsible for receiving the administrative dossiers and returning the results.  He noted that these employees are required to have a high level of professional and communication skills, and suggested an increase from 400,000 VND to 600,000 VND. 

Also at the meeting, the city leader approved residential land prices over the 2017 - 2021 period.  For residential land in urban areas, the highest price will be 75 million VND/m², whilst the lowest price will be 400,000VND/m².  The highest and lowest rural residential land prices will be 3.1 million VND/m² and 140,000VND/m² respectively.

Chairman Tho underlined that the delay in adjusting land prices on some main streets in Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son district had caused a loss of hundreds of billions of VND to the city’s budget.

Also, approval was given by the local People’s Committee for a medium-term public investment plan from 2016 - 2020.  A total of 27,436.5 billion VND from the State budget will be used over this period.
