Last Friday, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri visited the headquarters of the municipal Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) and extended his greetings to staff on the occasion of the 86^th anniversary of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (18 November).

Deputy Secretary Tri highly applauded the Committee for their remarkable achievements over recent years.  In addition, he highlighted the important role of the Committee in strengthening the national great unity bloc and ensuring local social welfare.  He also remarked how they have helped the city to promote its social-economic development, national defence security, and Party-building work.

The city leader took the oppportunity to encourage the Committee to uphold the strength of the great national unity and to promote the effective implementation of programmes and campaigns launched by the Party, State, government, Viet Nam FFC and Da Nang FFC.

Mr Tri also underlined the need for the Committee to ensure their supervision over local fatherland front activities and promote the efficiency of local social and charitable activities.

Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee Chairwoman Dang Thi Kim Lien thanked the municipal Party Committee for the great care given to local FFC over recent years.  She pledged to exert event more efforts to fulfil the city's key political tasks assigned by the Party Committee in the years ahead.
