On Tuesday, a meeting took place in Da Nang to introduce Viet Nam’s foreign affairs policies to over 1,000 local key government employees.  The participants came from relevant local departments and agencies, People’s committees at all local wards, communes and districts, Party organisations, Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and city-based military forces.

The aim of the event was to help the participants understand more about foreign affairs policies and develop their advisory capacities in such matters.  It will also help them to effectively promote the publicity of such policies in the city and therefore boost the local socio-economic development.

Deputy Director of the Northeast Asia Department under the management of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Nguyen Trung Hieu, introduced the participants to the foreign affairs policies issued by the Vietnamese Party and State.

In addition, discussions focused on friendly relationships and cooperation between Viet Nam and China, and the recent developments in the East Sea.
