At his reception for his Lao guests, Secretary Anh thanked the Champasak authorities for the warm welcome given to some of Da Nang’s high-ranking officers during their working visit to Southern Laotian localities in October.

He affirmed, “My city is willing to provide more support for the southern provinces of Laos for our mutual benefit.  In this spirit, the two localities will focus on implementing a bilateral cooperation programme over the 2018 - 2022 period”.

The city leader hoped that the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Champasak Province would see even more socio-economic benefits in the years ahead.  He vowed that Da Nang would exert even more effort to deepen the sustainable development of the Viet Nam-Laos special ties.

Mr Bounthong Divixay spoke highly of the great efforts made by the city authorities in supporting his province to implement numerous cooperation programmes on various aspects.  Included are training courses offered to Laotian students and employees, computers donated to the province’s universities, and helping the province to develop effective urban planning strategies.

The Laotian Governor expressed his belief that the Party Committee, authorities and people of Da Nang will record even more breakthrough achievements in the near future in order to secure its position as a dynamic city in the central region and highlands.
