Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho recently approved Directive No 14/CT-UBND about promoting the studying and following of the ideology, morality and lifestyle of late President Ho Chi Minh, and developing local public cadres to meet the city’s current development requirements.

Handling administrative dossiers for local residents at a local administrative agency

Under the Directive, the focus will be on enhancing the spirit of discipline in local State administrative agencies at all levels, and encouraging government employees to raise their awareness of promoting the studying and following of the ideology, morality and lifestyle of late President Ho Chi Minh.

Local public cadres must also renew their working styles, ensuring a high sense of responsibility, enhancing their self-discipline, and fighting against such negative phenomena as bureaucracy, corruption and individualism.

Local government agencies are required to issue strict criteria for evaluating the work ethics of their staff members in combination with releasing regulations concerning their attitude and behaviour towards residents and businesses whilst handling administrative procedures for them.  In particular, the leaders of these agencies need to set a good example for others to follow.

Furthermore, special attention should be paid to honouring local groups and individuals in recognition of their great devotion and dedication for the benefit of local residents.
