National government official extends Christmas wishes

The Vice President of Viet Nam Fatherland Front National Committee, Mr Le Ba Trinh, recently visited the office of the Diocese of Da Nang on the occasion of the Christmas.

Vice President Trinh wished the local Catholic dignitaries and followers a happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year. 

He also hoped that Bishop of the Diocese Dang Duc Ngan would do his utmost to fulfil his duties well, and encourage more Catholic followers to ensure a ‘good secular and religious life’ and to bolster the city’s progress, and that of the country as a whole.

Bishop Ngan vowed that he, along with Catholic dignitaries in the diocese, would joint efforts with all local residents to make Da Nang an even more liveable city in the future.

Also on the same day, Vice President Trinh paid a Christmas visit to the city-based Viet Nam Christian Mission. 

The visiting guest expressed his belief that the Head of the Mission, Pastor An Uoc, along with the Mission’s staff and local Christian followers, would continue their efforts for the sake of the city’s progress.
