On Monday, on behalf of Da Nang’s leaders, Deputy Director of the municipal Foreign Affairs Department Le Thi Thu Hanh played host to Ms Fanny Quertamp, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Development Management Support Centre (PADDI).  PADDI is a representative organisation of the French Development Agency (AFD) in Viet Nam.

Deputy Director Hanh highly praised PADDI for its idea of organising a series of seminars on sustainable urban planning in Da Nang.  She also asked the French organisation to cooperate with the city’s institutes of Socio-Economic Development Research, and Planning to successfully organise the forthcoming events.

The host hoped that PADDI would boost their bilateral cooperation with Da Nang in urban development-related issues, and share the experiences of Ho Chi Minh City in its urban planning work.

Ms Fanny thanked the city leaders for assisting PADDI to organise the forthcoming seminars.  She remarked that this will be the first time that PADDI has organised such events in Da Nang, and they will see the participation of many foreign experts.  She hoped that Da Nang would learn from the many urban planning experiences of larger cities through these seminars.
