Dear compatriots, comrades and soldiers nationwide,

Over the past year, the entire nation has made efforts to strive to overcome many difficulties and challenges, gaining numerous important achievements in all fields.

Welcoming the New Year, each Vietnamese person should uphold the spirit of patriotism and tradition of ‘con Rong, chau Tien’ (descendents of dragons and the grandchildren of fairies) as well as promote the sense of self-reliance, solidarity and creativity and try to emulate to successfully implement the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, opening-up a new period of development and prosperity for the country and happiness for all people and all households.

With a deep belief in the power of the whole nation and bright prospects of the country, we are determined to gain greater successes in the cause of ‘Doi Moi’ (Renewal) and firmly safeguarding the independence, sovereignty and sacred territorial integrity of the country, as well as building a strong and wealthy nation on par with countries across the 5 continents, towards a brighter future.

With the New year also comes a new spirit, new determination, and new vitality. The joint efforts and consensus of the entire nation will certainly result in success!

Cordial greetings!"
