City leader hosts Mitsubishi Corporation Viet Nam President
During his recent reception for the President cum General Manager of the Mitsubishi Corporation Viet Nam, Mr Tetsu Funayama, Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho spoke highly of the fruitful results from the bilateral cooperation between his city and Japanese localities and businesses over recent years.

Chairman Tho remarked that Da Nang is appealing for domestic and foreign investment into local infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Lien Chieu Port, a project to relocate Da Nang railway station, and some environmental projects.
The city leader hoped that the visit would help the Mitsubishi Corporation Viet Nam decide to invest into his city very soon, and he pledged that the local authorities would create very favourable conditions for the Japanese group to operate effectively in the city.
Mr Tetsu Funayama thanked Mr Tho for his warm welcome, and said that his group is keen to learn about Da Nang’s development orientations before seeking investment opportunities in the city.
He remarked, “In the immediate future, my group will focus on implementing projects on infrastructure, services for middle-class people, healthcare, and technology applications for industrial sectors”.
The Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) is a globally integrated business that is involved in all aspects of industry. It boasts its over 200 offices and subsidiaries in 90 countries worldwide, and a network of approximately 1,200 group companies with a multi-national workforce of over 68,000 people. In Viet Nam, MC has to date operated successfully in 10 cities and provinces, including Da Nang.
