During his reception on Wednesday for some representatives from the Selfwing Vietnam Incubation Company, Da Nang People’s Committee (PC) Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung presented a Certificate of Merit from the municipal PC Chairman to Dr Yukiko Hirai, the Company’s CEO, in recognition of her great efforts in promoting the city’s progress.

On behalf of the city’s leader, Vice Chairman Dung highly praised the Japanese businesswoman for her active involvement in appealing for more Japanese businesses to invest in Da Nang, as well as in developing Japan’s educational incubation model in the city.  The Selfwing Japan Incubation Complex project in Da Nang is a typical example.

He said he hoped that Dr Hirai would continue to do her utmost to encourage more investors from Japan into the city.  A focus should be on implementing many more educational exchange activities between Japan and Da Nang pupils and teachers to offer them easy access to Japan’s advanced educational programmes.

In reply, Dr Hirai thanked the local authorities for facilitating her company to deploy its projects in the city.  She noted that her company would continue enhancing the quality of education in the central region and highlands to increase the competitiveness of young people of Da Nang, and of Viet Nam as a whole, in the context of global integration.  She also remarked that, once operational, the Selfwing Japan Incubation Complex will help attract more Japanese investors to the city.

Covering an area of 2,500m2 in Hai Chau District’s Hoa Cuong Bac Ward, the Selfwing Japan Incubation Complex will operate under Japan’s advanced educational models for pre-school, applied sciences, life skills, thinking development, self-reliance, creativity, and self-development capacity.

The complex will feature a pre-school, a human resources incubation centre, a start-up applications centre, and utility service areas.

Construction work on the 30 billion VND project started in September 2016 and is expected to be completed in April.  The first pupils will enrol in September 2017.
