In particular, Lien Chieu District authorities had publicised the campaign to around 900 residential groups.

Mr Dam Quang Hung, Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee (PC), said “My unit has publicised the programme in detail to each local family.  Then, each family has been encouraged to sign a commitment to record the best results from their implementation”.

He added that top priority will be given to making every effort to control criminals and social evils, and prevent criminal cases from becoming more complex.  Importance will be attached to ensuring traffic safety and easing traffic congestion during rush hours.  Heed will be paid to tightening the management of food quality at the Hoa Khanh, Nam O and seafood markets in the district in order to prevent mass food poisoning.

Chairman of the Cam Le District PC Le Van Son said that the implementation of the 'City of 4 Safe Programmes' campaign is one of his district’s 10 key tasks.  He urged local relevant agencies to detect and strictly deal with traffic and food safety violations, as well as to do their utmost to raise more funds from generous organisations and businesses to help local residents improve their living standards.

In attempting to effectively implement the campaign, the Hoa Vang District authorities have cooperated with the city’s relevant agencies to develop safe vegetable growing areas in order to supply to the city’s major markets.  Stricter punishments have been imposed on truck drivers who exceed the speed limits and overtake recklessly with the risk of causing road traffic accidents.
