Chairman Tho expressed his delight at the fruitful results from the bilateral cooperative ties with South Korea over recent years in such aspects as trade, education, and cultural exchange.  He remarked “South Korea takes the lead amongst the city’s 43 foreign investors with 70 projects, worth 728.8 million USD.  Currently, about 14 businesses from the city have established bilateral cooperative relationships with partners in South Korea”.

He vowed that the city authorities would create very favourable conditions for foreign investors, including those from South Korea, to invest and operate effectively in the city.

In reply, Chairman Cho Jeong-sik noted that Da Nang boasts numerous advantages for the development of tourism, trade and services thanks to its green, clean and beautiful environment, plus its infrastructure which is increasingly perfect.

He highlighted the significance of boosting comprehensive bilateral cooperation in such aspects as education, culture, healthcare, and trade.

Also at the event, the South Korean business representatives were told about the city’s mechanisms and policies for foreign investors in order to accelerate their implementation of some projects in the city, including the building of a metro system and the establishment of some vocational schools.
