Vice Chairman Minh said, “The bilateral cooperative relationship with Belgium has yet to fully tap the great advantages and potentials of the two sides. I, therefore, ask you to appeal for more businesses from your province, and from Belgium as a whole, to seek investment opportunities in Da Nang. Investments are particularly welcome in the city’s priority aspects and in those sectors in which Belgium has a specific expertise”.
Mr Minh also took the opportunity to ask the Belgian Deputy Governor to encourage businesses from his country to become actively involved in a wide range of events on the sidelines of the APEC Economic Leaders' Week which will be held in the city in November. In addition, he said that his city wants to exchange mutual experiences with Belgium to gain useful information about urban management and logistics services.
In reply, Mr Versnick said that his province boasts a foreign policy based on the multi-aspect approach principle which brings added value to involved parties, and the policy is now focusing on developing local agriculture and education.
He continued, “To date, my province has only established bilateral cooperation with Da Nang in education. Therefore, in the immediate future, greater efforts should be made to expand our bilateral cooperation into more aspects”.
