Vice Chairman Minh spoke highly of the fruitful bilateral relationship and cooperation between Da Nang and various Chinese localities over recent years.  To date, Da Nang has established agreements with Shandong, Jiangsu, Kunming and Chengcheng County, and the Macao Special Administrative Region.  Da Nang has attracted 22 Chinese-invested projects, with a total registered investment capital of about 21.7 million USD.

Currently, there are 22 direct air routes connecting Da Nang with Chinese localities, with in total 82 flights per week.  The number of Chinese visitors to the city is higher than from any other country, with the figure hitting 440,179 in 2016.

The host highlighted the significance of promoting bilateral cooperation between Da Nang and Baise City in a more effective manner in the years ahead.  He also underlined that his city is willing to bolster bilateral cooperation in tourism, agriculture, trade and other aspects in which the 2 sides boast potential and strengths, and show a keen interest.

In reply, Secretary Peng expressed his appreciation of Da Nang’s remarkable achievements in tourism, urban infrastructure construction, and appeals for domestic and FDI inflows into the city over recent years.

He proposed that the 2 sides should enhance mutual exchanges and comprehensive cooperation in culture, tourism and agriculture.  Also, he said, special heed should be paid to advertising the images of the 2 localities in a bid to attract more visitors to each other, thereby further enhancing their bilateral relationships in a more practical and effective manner in future years.
