On Wednesday, some representatives from the Da Nang Women’s Union (WU) played host to a group of visitors from the Champasak Province WU in Laos.  The visitors were accompanied by the Laotian Consul General in Da Nang, Mr Phommaseng Khamsene.

During her reception for them, the Vice Chairwoman of the city’s WU, Ms Tang Hoang Hon Tham, introduced the guests to her organisation’s remarkable achievements over recent years, and its focus on promoting gender equality in the city.

The delegation also shared their valuable experiences from operating the WU in Laos.  In the years ahead, special attention will be paid to enhancing exchange activities and fostering the bilateral cooperative relationship with the Da Nang’s WU, and with Viet Nam as a whole.
