Chairman Tho thanked Ambassador Chittick for his great efforts in promoting bilateral diplomatic activities to assist the city in deploying healthcare and humanitarian projects, and offering English training courses for local government employees involved in serving the year-long ‘APEC Viet Nam 2017’ programme.

The city leader also said that he would like the Australian government to promote bilateral exchanges of students and government employees with Da Nang in order to share their mutual experiences.

In reply, Ambassador Chittick said that he would be visiting some of the hotels which will be hosting official seminars and conferences within the framework of AELW, and welcoming high-ranking Australian officials during the event.

The Australian diplomat hoped that AELW will see the presence of representatives from the Australian government and the leaders of large Australian groups.

The guest also vowed that the Australian government is willing to bolster bilateral cooperation with Da Nang in economics, security and innovations in the years ahead.
