Vice Chairman Minh remarked that, over recent years, Da Nang has signed many bilateral cooperation agreements with South Korean localities. However, the bilateral trade relationship and investment attraction activities are lower than expected. Da Nang’s annual imports and exports with South Korea hit only 65 million USD and 25 million USD respectively.
The host remarked that the visit made by the Gyeongsan guests would help to bolster bilateral relationships between Da Nang and South Korean localities in the future years. He also said he would like Gyeongsan’s authorities to assist Da Nang in appealing for more South Korean investors to come to the city in the years ahead.
In reply, Deputy Mayor Kim highlighted that Da Nang possesses many great advantages and potential for the development of its tourism and service sectors. He hoped that the Da Nang authorities would create more favourable conditions for Gyeongsan to boost bilateral cooperation in the cosmetics industry in the future.
To mark the occasion, Vice Chairman Minh and Deputy Mayor Kim jointly entered into an agreement on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the cosmetics industry between the 2 cities.
Under the agreement, focus will be on accelerating the bilateral trade in cosmetics, constructing a cosmetology research institute in Da Nang, promoting exchanges of information and technical documents relating to the cosmetics industry, and training human resources in this aspect.
