Senior Japanese politician visits the city
During his meeting on Tuesday with Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Vo Cong Tri, the Deputy Secretary General of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) of Japan, Mr Yukio Edano, affirmed that both the DPP and the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of Japan always respect the bilateral cooperative relationships with Viet Nam.

He hoped that his visit would help to further Japan’s bilateral cooperation with Viet Nam, and promote exchange activities between their citizens. In addition, he pledged to appeal for more Japanese businesses to invest in Da Nang because the seaside city boasts great advantages and potentials in various aspects.
Deputy Secretary Tri highlighted the numerous remarkable achievements by Japanese businesses operating in Da Nang over recent years, and the great efforts by Japanese ex-pats, living and working in the city, to promote local progress.
The city leader also noted that the Japanese government has been providing ODA capital for the city to implement such projects as the Hai Van Tunnel, the 1st phase of the Tien Sa Port, and the soon-to-be-built Lien Chieu Port.
The host asked his guest to introduce Da Nang’s investment environment to businesses from his country to invest into such aspects as hi-tech industries, education, high-quality human resources, and tourism.
