Vice Chairman Tuan added “Da Nang has recently become more attractive to Korean visitors. It is now home to 72 South Korean-invested projects with a total combined capital of around 237 million USD.”
He said he would like the Korean diplomat to do his utmost to appeal for more investment from his country into the city’s tourism, and its hi-tech and dedicated information technology parks. He vowed that the city authorities would create very favourable conditions for Korean companies to operate effectively in the city. He added that great efforts will be made to ensure the safety of the President of the Republic of Korea during the forthcoming APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in the city in November.
In reply, Ambassador Lee expressed his delight at the fine development of the bilateral cooperation with Viet Nam, and especially Da Nang, over the past 25 years, and he was very impressed by Da Nang’s transparent investment environment.
He hoped that the Da Nang leaders will accelerate the upgrade of the Viet Nam-Korea Friendship Information Technology Junior College into a university in the near future.
