Fostering bilateral cooperation with India
On Thursday, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman cum Head of the Department of Publicity and Training Dang Viet Dung played host to a group from the India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), led by Dr Sumeet Jerath, Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor of India’s MEA.

Vice Chairman Dung thanked the Indian government for giving financial assistance to the city’s Vietnam-India Centre for English Language Training (VICELT). The centre has helped to provide 140 English training courses for over 3,500 trainees over the past decade.
The host said he hoped that the Indian government will continue boosting its bilateral cooperation with Da Nang in such aspects as IT, cultural exchange, and education.
Dr Jerath thanked the city leader for his warm welcome. He spoke highly of the the city’s remarkable socio-economic achievements over recent years.
He said he would do his utmost to introduce the city's investment environment and policies to Indian businesses, as well as further promote the bilateral cooperation with the seaside city.
