Secretary Anh also highlighted the active support from the Australian diplomat, and the Australian government as a whole, for Da Nang in such aspects as healthcare and education. He added that the Australian Embassy has already funded training courses in English skills for 50 local government employees in preparation for the forthcoming APEC’s Economic Leaders’ Week.
The host pledged that the city authorities will make every effort to give greater support about APEC-related issues to the Australian representative agencies in the city.
In reply, Mr Chittick remarked that Australia considers Viet Nam to be a very important defensive and economic partner, and Da Nang is considered as a centre of innovation and creativity.
He promised that he would do his utmost to introduce the dynamic and developing image of Da Nang to Australian citizens and businesses.
