Chairman Tho briefed his guests on his city’s favourable geographical position, and its significant socio-economic and diplomatic achievements over recent years. He remarked that no bilateral cooperative programmes have been to date implemented between Da Nang and localities of South Africa. The city leader also said he would like Premier Helen Zille to boost the bilateral cooperation with his city in such aspects as education, tourism, sports and culture.
In reply, Mrs Zille said “Western Cape Province is one of the world’s tourism and conference hubs, and it is now home to many large universities. My province boasts a well-developed agriculture with a variety of specific fruits.”
The South African guest hoped that the bilateral cooperation with Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, in various aspects would be further enhanced in the coming time.
