Korean officers and crew members pay courtesy visit to city leader
On Tuesday, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh warmly received a group of officers and crew members from the South Korea Coast Guard ship Badaro, led by its Lt Col Kim Dong Jin.

Vice Chairman Minh highlighted the significance of this visit in marking the 25th anniversary of the Viet Nam-South Korea diplomatic ties, as well as helping the 2 countries to exchange their experience in search and rescue activities, and ensuring security and safety at sea. He hoped that through the visit the bilateral cooperation between the Viet Nam and South Korea Coast Guard forces would be enhanced, and the Viet Nam-South Korea strategic partnership as a whole, would be deepened.
The host noted “Da Nang is giving top priority to promoting the development of information technology, tourism and logistics industries, as well as attracting more FDI inflows. South Korea is one of the city’s key strategic partners, and it is now amongst the city’s largest foreign investors with 72 projects totalling over 236 million USD. Currently, there are 8 direct air routes connecting the city with South Korean localities. Last year, Da Nang welcomed a total of around 480,000 South Korean visitors, the highest number of international tourists to the city.”
In reply, Lt Col Kim thanked the leaders and people of Da Nang for their warm welcome. He expressed his delight at the fine development of the bilateral cooperative relationship with Viet Nam over recent years. He believed that this visit would help to further the bilateral exchange and cooperative relations with Da Nang.
