Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri, on Tuesday, visited and congratulated the staff of Department No 11 of General Department No 2 under the Viet Nam Defence Ministry in recognition of the Traditional Day of General Department No 2 (25 October).  He was accompanied by some representatives from the city authorities.

Deputy Secretary Tri highly lauded Department No 11, and General Department No 2 as a whole, for their remarkable achievements over the historical periods. 

Most notably, General Department No 2 (also known as the General Department of Military Intelligence) is a credible and essential force of the Party and State.  The military intelligence force has always actively provided accurate information and predictions, as well as given timely advice to the leaders of the Party, State and army on policy-making, thereby partly helping to ensure the national construction and defence.

The city leader took the opportunity to ask the staff of Department No 11, to exert even more efforts to successfully fulfilled all their assigned tasks in the coming years.

In reply, Colonel Le Vinh Thuoc, the Secretary of the Party organisation of Department No 11, proudly said that, over recent years, his unit has effectively implemented patriotic emulation movements and fulfilled its political duties.  In particular, a high level of consensus and solidarity has always been ensured amongst the unit’s staff members.
