Chairwoman Lien applauded the visit by her Cambodian guests, which took place in this year marking the 50th anniversary of the Viet Nam-Cambodia diplomatic ties (24 June).
The host highlighted the significance of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee in upholding national solidarity sprit, and thereby partly helping to accelerate the country’s socio-economic progress.
In reply, Mr Nhem Valy spoke highly of outstanding results from the bilateral cooperation between the Fronts of the 2 countries over recent years, with a focus on promoting their bilateral exchanges of delegations at national and local levels.
In particular, the authorities of Vietnamese and Cambodian localities, which are located at the geographical boundary of the 2 countries, have shared their valuable experience in promoting their citizens’ active engagement in building a common border of peace, friendship, stability and development.
The Cambodian official also underlined the importance of implementing even more specific cooperation programmes between his agency and Da Nang in the years ahead, in order to foster relationships and cooperation between the city and Cambodian localities, and between the 2 countries as a whole.
