The Da Nang and Quang Nam Province People’s Committees (PCs) recently entered into a cooperation agreement on building innovation eco-systems for the 2018 - 2025 period.

Under the agreement, joint efforts will be made to promote information and communications activities to enhance the knowledge on start-ups amongst the 2 localities’ general public.

Furthermore, the authorities of the 2 localities will facilitate the organisation of more start-up events which are attended by domestic and foreign experts.

The Da Nang Entrepreneurship Support (DNES) will give consultancy services to the implementation of training programmes at Quang Nam’s business incubators. 

Also, more favourable conditions will be created for the province’s start-up projects to access training courses at DNES.

The two sides will also support each other in developing mechanisms and policies for promoting their business start-up environment. 

In his remarks at the signing ceremony, Da Nang PC Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh affirmed that Da Nang and Quang Nam Province are now the first Vietnamese localities to implement a cooperation programme to build their innovation eco-systems.  This model will be expanded into other localities in Central Viet Nam and Highlands, and the country as a whole, in the years ahead.

The city leader also noted that, the focus will be on carrying out cooperation activities on the basis of such major pillars as education, infrastructure, policies and community connection.

In reply, Quang Nam PC Vice Chairman Le Tri Thanh said hopefully that such a programme would encourage the young in these localities to make greater dedication to their socio-economic progress.
