This practical service has received high praise from the general public thanks to its usefulness and convenience.
When accessing the above-mentioned websites, a request to provide information is display. Required information are names, phone numbers, email addresses and the number of vacinees, along with the suggested appointment date and time.
In addition, vaccination appointments can be made by calls to the city’s Public Service Portal with its hotline 0236 1022.
In particular, the suggested time must be between 7.30am and 10.30am, and between 1.30pm and 4.00pm.
Citizens will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration at the websites or the Portal.
If citizens do not arrive for their vaccination appointments within 10 minutes of the booked time, it will be cancelled.
For the moment, vaccination registrations on the websites are only conducted in Vietnamese.
The new useful service aims to avoid overload when a large number of people attend in person to register right at the centre's vaccination establishment at 103 Hung Vuong.According to the Centre, it receives an average of 30 appointments per day.
In a similar vein, local citizens now can either call or text the city’s Public Service Information Centre to arrange appointments with a total of 21 government agencies for administrative transactions, rather than attending in person to book.
The useful service was initially only be available for the municipal departments of Planning and Investment, Construction, and Home Affairs on a trial basis, starting from 1 September 2016, but it has now been expanded into other local departments and agencies.
In detail, local residents can ring the free hotline 02363 881888 during working hours Monday to Friday, and they need to leave their name, phone number, the name of the department they wish to attend, the nature of the business to be conducted, and a suggested appointment date and time.
In another way, appointments can be made by calls to the hotline of city’s Public Service Portal: 0236 1022. For the moment, conversations via phone can be conducted in both English and Vietnamese.
Alternatively, appointment bookers can text ‘HG [Name of Sender] [Name of Agency] [Nature of Business] [Suggested Date and Time] to 8188. Each text costs 1,000 VND.
Once an appointment is confirmed by the switchboard operators with a code of date and time via phone and text, citizens must then visit the city’s Public Service Information Centre at 2 Quang Trung street to receive a confirmation slip to present to the agency.
Those who want to later cancel an appointment can call the same hotline or text ‘HUYHG [The Code of Date and Time] to 8188.
If residents do not arrive for their appointments within 10 minutes of the booked time, it will be cancelled.
