The host also asked for help from the French diplomat to promote cultural exchange activities between the city and French localities.  He also highlighted Ambassador Vincent Floreani’s active role in facilitating the city’s university students and government employees to access scholarships and training courses in France, as well as appealing more French investors to the city and expand their business activities.

In reply, Mr Vincent Floreani said that his government would create very favourable conditions for employees of the city’s agencies and departments to attend training courses in France.  In addition, he underlined the significance of Da Nang’s cooperation with the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Viet Nam to appeal for even more French businesses to visit the city to learn about its investment environment.

The French Ambassador remarked that his government is willing to give loans to the city, and to offer its consultancy services to some of the city’s soon-to-be-built projects.  Included are the new railway station, and a project to upgrade the existing navigation channel at the Tho Quang fishing wharf.
