City leader hosts politicians from Hokkaido
During his reception on Thursday for a group from Japan’s Hokkaido Prefectural Assembly, led by its member Mr Chiba Hidemori, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh briefed his guests on the local incentive policies for foreign investors. In addition, the city’s priority aspects which are appealing for FDI inflows into industrial parks, including the hi-tech and the dedicated IT, were introduced to Japanese politicians.

Vice Chairman Minh asked for help from Mr Chiba Hidemori, and members of the Hokkaido Prefectural Assembly as a whole, to encourage even more businesses from their country to pour their money into the city.
The host took the opportunity to invite the Assembly’s leaders and representatives from Hokkaido Prefectural government to visit the city to attend the 5th Japan-Viet Nam Cultural Exchange Festival late July. The event aims to advertise the image of Hokkaido Prefectural to Da Nang's residents.
The city leader underlined the significance of opening Da Nang-Hokkaido direct flights as soon as possible to sastify growing travel demands of travellers and businesses between the two localities.
On behalf of members of the Hokkaido Prefectural Assembly, Mr Chiba Hidemori gave his heartfelt condolences to the Vietnamese government and its people on the passing of the former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai.
The Japanese guest remarked that Viet Nam is very attractive to Japanese investors who want to expand their business in new countries.
