Seeking more help from US government for city's AO victims
Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh, on Tuesday, played host to a group of US Senate Staff Assistants, led by Ms Natalie Rogers, Chief of Staff to Senator Cory Gardener who is Chairman of the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations’ Subcommittee East Asia, the Pacific, and International Cybersecurity Policy.

The host highly applauded the US government for their great efforts over recent years in helping his city to deploy the detoxification of dioxin at the Da Nang International Airport. In addition, he asked for help from the US guests to convince their government to provide more assistance to the city’s Agent Orange (AO) victims.
Ms Rogers highlighted the significance of this visit in intensifying the comprehensive partnership between the US and Viet Nam, with a focus on enhancing bilateral trade cooperation, and solving war aftermaths. She said that the visit aimed to learn more about the city’s development strategy in tourism, and its climate change response plan.
