On Thursday, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh warmly received a group of officers and crew members from Singapore’s ship RSS Intrepid 69, led by Senior Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Neo.

Vice Chairman Minh remarked “The city is now home to a total of 21 Singapore-invested projects totalling around 830 million US$. These projects focus on such aspects as manufacturing, real estate, education, construction, and IT”.

The host highlighted the significance of the visit by Singaporean naval officers and men in furthering the city’s bilateral cooperation with Singaporean localities, and strenghthening Viet Nam-Singapore strategic partnership as a whole, as well as fostering the relations between the naval forces of the two 2 countries.

In reply, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Neo expressed his delighted at the fine development of the bilateral cooperation with Da Nang in various aspects.

The visiting guest added that the on-going visit would play a vital role in promoting naval exchange activities of the two countries, especially search and rescue work at sea to ensure maritime safety and security. He also noted that it is a good chance for Singaporean naval officers and crew members to learn more about the people and culture in Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole.
